What To Do [1st & 2nd]

Hello! If you're a new member on this site, or just happen to be looking through the boards and stumbled across this one, I'd like to offer you a little bit of advice.

First thing's first-- You're on a roleplaying site (if you haven't noticed), and what do you do on a roleplaying site? Why, roleplay, of course! The first thing you would want to do is find a nice roleplay. Depending on your preference, be it animal roleplays, Warriors roleplays, Human roleplays, my advice would be to go to the board of your preference and look for anything that has "sign ups" on it. On that thread, you should find a plot, setting, and everything you need to understand the idea of the roleplay and how things should work.

Underneath the setting and plot, you will either find the rules or the form. Only in rare occasions does the person have no rules, or no form, or neither at the same time. If they don't, it's probably not a very good idea to sign up on, because you don't know what the person expects from you OR what they want you to specifically sign up with.

However, when you find a roleplay you would like to join, the first thing to do would be to find the rules. Read through all of them (yes, all of them) and make sure you understand everything the person expects you to do/not to do in the roleplay.

The second thing you should do is find the form. Copy the form, then scroll down into the box that says Fast Reply and paste the form there. It usually says something like:

Name:
Gender:
Personality:
Description:
History:
Other:

Often times there might be added things depending on the plot, but whatever roleplay you join, that will usually be there.

Great! Wonderful! You've signed up and now you're all ready to go! You've got your character all figured out with a name, gender, personality, a background history, all that fun stuff, so what do you do now? First you should wait to see if your character is accepted. If it isn't, there might've been something about your signup what was a bit off according to the rules, so be sure to read them and make sure!

After you've possibly read 'What To Do First', you'll need to know the basics of how to jump into Role-Plays.

Don't Forget!! Make sure you double check the role-plays rules, if there are any, and take them into heart.

For those who have no clue on whats happening in the Role-Play, here is what you do:
Usually, the person who made that Role-Play offers you an update, or what happened, in the Role-Play. If not, you can ask any other person in the role-play what has happened. It may not be as fast as possible, but someone may tell you in the role-play.

If no one responds to you in the Role-Play, send them a PM (or Private Message) about it, or try to catch them in the Chatroom. Unfortunately, if no one responds to you about the update, your reduced to having to read the role-play. If you don't want to read the entire Role-Play, the best thing to do is read the last few pages. Its most effective if your reading the last 5 pages or so. It will help you get an idea on how to jump in. If your still confused on the last five pages, read another page. And read another, and another, and so on, if your still confused.

For those who don't know how to jump in to Role-Plays, here is what you do:
The most common way of jumping into a role-play is your character waking up and walking about the house/camp/forest/etc. Sometimes, your character can jump out by talking or conversing with another member's character.

This pretty much sums up on the how-tos on jumping into a Role-Play, both for if the Role-Play is a few pages started, or if the Role-Play was just made.
