The cat

The cat on the street,
seen once every week,
scavenges around to feed

She finds a bone,
a wall made of stone,
but nothing to fill her belly

A van pulls up,
the doors open wide,
but the kitty hides

Two men jump out,
they search about,
and throw a new onto the kitty.

She's pulled into the van,
the doors shut with a slam,
and she's never seen again.

~Differences~

Differences
They label us
I could write like this
~~or like this~~
just because it's
Different

Kids use them
To hurt others
I could be tall and thin
Or short and fat
The point is
Kids use them

Society doesn't help
those kids being bullied
With their low self-esteem
And sad mood
the point is
Society doesn't help

What can we do?
We can stand up
We can ignore the teasing
We can do anything
Now,
Will you do anything?

I'm sick of it
Being picked on
Just 'cause I'm a little fatter
and a little shorter
I have feelings
I'm sick of it

Yes, I'm different
so are you
I'm not perfect
and, no
neither are you
Yes, we're different

We make mistakes
all have consequences
they're not always bad
Yet,
most of them are
We make mistakes.

We are different
Yet, so the same
Why must you mock those
who aren't you
none of us are you
You are you

For all intents and purposes
You’re a boy of about fourteen
Sitting at home, you’re all alone
Staring at a computer screen

You’re an unassuming kid
Your build the average type
With a pale and freckly face
That no girl really likes

But online you’re someone different
That same, lame kid no more
And suddenly the whole wide world
Has so much more in store

You could be a novelist
Or perhaps a college dean
Online you’re no longer bound
By seeing or being seen

You spot a conversation about
The pros of some new driving laws
Though you don’t have a car,
You point out all it’s flaws

They counter your argument sharply
Their talk flies over your head
You don’t admit your inexperience
And blow them all off instead

Besides, what do they know?
Writing books might be your life
You may have a degree in law, and
Even have a trophy wife

But you close your laptop sharply
As your mother knocks on the door
And there goes the famous novelist
He’s a freckle-faced teen once more

The Rose

It's thorns pierce your skin
matching the deep pain from within
He's broken your heart once
he can do it again

You stay far away from him
Protecting your heart is the mission
Yet is gallops out of reach
To the one you loved

No, you tell yourself
It's never meant to be.
I cannot, it's too painful.
I'll find someone anew

But your heart doesn't listen
It disobeys your command
And runs away
To meet his again

You're jealous,
or rather, your heart is
When other girls come along
Forget him, I'll find someone else

Years later, he's there
When you're married and have kids
He beggs for your help
And you can't help but remember

The first rose he gave you.

are those who come to your parties
who you tell secrets to
talk about what clothes are on sale
or about the guy you're crushing on

Friends
Will help you with homework
Are loyal and will stay through 'till the end
Help you through break-ups
will always be there

Friends
Aren't on-again-off-again
They are those who share feelings
Are nice and caring
Will tell you the latest gossip

Best Friends
Will get in trouble with you
Will sneak into movies with you
Will be ready to beat the guy who hurt you into a pulp
Will love you forever

They are everywhere,
All you have to do is look

Only an echo

I'm confused
So I go searching
And find the place empty

I continue
My footsteps
Only echo errily

I look outside
Not so much as a breeze
I open the door

Nobody's around
The air is still
And silent

What happened?
I don't know
Where is everyone?

Can't tell
I go searching
Nobody's home

Not a sound
Not a crackle of a leaf
No animals

Where's everyone?
I can't answer
They're not here

I look around
A lone wolf
Stands in the street

I stare at it
It stares at me
It howls loudly

My heart aches
I take a step
It falls down

Dead

What Lies Beyond

the stars in the sky?
Is there other life?
Or just empty space?

What lies beyond
The edges of a volcano?
Is it full of treasure?
Or full of magma?

What lies beyond
Those pretty eyes?
Is it betrayal?
Or trust?

What lies beyond
Death?
Is there heaven and Happiness?
Or Darkness and Despair?

What lies beyond
Our existence?
Will we ever know?
Will we forever ask these questions?

School

School is work
And lots of stress
Homework
And Friends

School is confusing
A place to get lost
Where lunch is served
And fights are started

School isn't that bad
Excluding the lunches
And the bullies
And the mean teachers

Who am I kidding?

School sucks.

Wolves

Wolves are fierce
Loyal
Strong

They are magnificent
Intelligent
Necessary

So why?
Why are they being killed?
What did they do?

They haven't killed anyone
They haven't stalked little kids
They haven't raped innocent people.

So which species is worse?

Ours, or theirs?

DEATH'S PEA

I want your breath
for i am death
I want and i need your mortal soul for it is my job
Life from you i have to rob.
Wings as black as night i have, and skeletal hand
For heave said i ruled the land
A cloak i ware and i hold my scythe high
I hold your hour glass and that's no lie
Men and woman fear me, so they run and hide.
But i will find them as sure as the tide.
I find great sadness in what i have to do.
You see i am cursed too.
For i am thing you fear most, and all of the angles at me cursed.
I must do this to the end of time but that's not the worst.
They see me as a vile monster, a true horrible sight.
Something made from dark not light.
The only thing that makes me happy, and yet very sad.
is when i have to take a child whose glad.
When i come for them, they walk up and simply take my hand.
Not afraid of me who rules the land.
they smile up at me oh so bright, for they don't see me like you do.
They see a handsome face, and white wings too.
My scythe to them is a simple walking stick.
My cloak bright and cheery, its not a trick.
For they see a angle mad from flesh not just bone.
Right up until there fully grown.
They see me for who i was, not a dark creature mad of bone, and hate.
But that's what you see because it is my fate.
When i give you to heaven on high.
You run from me and scream kill the lie.
I am the lie you speak of, the monster you hate.
women are the same as man there mate.
But when i take a child to give them to heaven fair.
They beg me to take them to the stair.
I go with, and they hug me tight.
before i have to go back to the night.
and so you see i can not wait for the end of time.
For my destiny is right her in rhyme.
when the end of man comes i too must die.
Only then to heaven i can fly.
My wings will turn to heavens white.
The world will see me in child's sight.
And i will become the children's Angle, to play with them for the rest of eternity.
Until that day I am Death and i send you this plea
might i not walk alone just this once for me?
I don't want the world to end just now, so please a friend for me?
Some one one who will walk to the sea?
Heaven on high oh how it cry, grants thy wish, dream.
But what they said makes me want to scream.
They said I must wait for some one to choose to stay with me.
So please I plea, hold my hand and stay with me.
I don't want to be alone.
